ネクストのOBは単体で時速1000km以上、[[クイックブースト]]と併用すれば瞬間的に最大時速2000kmを超える凄まじい出力を発揮可能である（設定上はOBの出力向上のみならず、PAによる空気抵抗の低減効果も相まって、音速突破が可能となったとされている）。

また、ネクストはOBが個別パーツとなっており、他のブースターと同じように多様な換装が可能である。~
ACfAでは、ジェネレーターのEN及びKP出力が増加したこともあり、極端な機体構成では無限飛行(または浮遊)ならぬ無限OBまでも可能となっている。~

また、外付けの強襲用ブースターにもOBの名前が使われている([[ヴァンガード・オーバード・ブースト/VOB>VOB]])
