本体となる衛星内部は異様に広く、そのすべてをマッピングすることが追加報酬の条件となるミッションも存在するが、厄介な[[ガードメカ]]が徘徊している上時間制限もあるためかなり難儀することになる。~
OPではサイレントラインを超えて[[未踏査地区]]を偵察しようとした航空機を衛星軌道上から観測して撃墜し、サイレントラインの意味をプレイヤーに解り易く伝えてくれる。~

威力的にはACでも10発は耐えられ、危害範囲もACの全幅の倍程度だが、戦術レベルで見ればその精度と弾速により、ACを始めとする機動兵器に対しては脅威となる。~
照準システムのせいで一方向にダッシュするだけで外れてくれるが、回避運動のためにジグザグに動いたりすると判定の大きさもあり引っかかりやすくなる。~

作中においては[[I-C003-IN]]と共にサイレントラインへの人類の侵入を拒み続け、サイレントライン付近の基地や工場も攻撃している。[[ミラージュ]]による調査(上記のミッション)が行われ一旦は制御下に置かれたが、それを引き金とした[[AI]]兵器群の暴走と同時に再び制御を離れ、複数の[[レイヴン]]による共同作戦でエネルギー増幅装置を破壊されて無力化された。~

[[国家解体戦争]]以前に企業の宇宙進出と共に衛星軌道上に放置された[[アサルト・セル]]が登場。

これは、一定以上の高度まで侵入して来た存在を無差別に攻撃するものであり、この存在を秘匿するために国家解体戦争と[[リンクス戦争]]が引き起こされ、[[クローズ・プラン]]が実行される要因となった。

[[ミッション]]「海越え」はこの衛星砲から照射されたガイドレーザーを掻い潜って目的地にたどり着く事が第一の目的となっており、ガイドレーザーに触れた場合は警告音の後レーザー砲撃が行われる。~
SLとは違い2〜3発で機体が蒸発しかねないほどの威力を誇るため、警告音の鳴った後は[[クイックブースト]]などによる速やかな回避運動が必要となる。
